Yummiest Recipes SMOOTHIE!
Okay, so this photo is early in the morning while I enjoy one of my favorite recipes smoothie!
Smoothies are an ideal meal as they can be easily changed up to keep things interesting, they can be made with whatever ingredients you already have on hand and just about everyone will drink them...happily!
Here are a couple of my favorite recipes smoothie wonders to try and then change up to create your own masterpiece!
Yum Yum Pineapple Heaven!
1-2 servings
2 cups of fresh pineapple
2 Tblsp. fresh mint leaves
2 cups good water
1 cups packed spinach (optional..BUT..try it. even if it sounds new and strange to you, TRY IT! You don't taste the spinach and it is awesome nutrition to give your body in the morning or anytime! Greens have chlorophyll, calcium, iron, fiber....do it up, baby!)
1 Tblsp. Chia Seeds or flax seeds (also optional. if you got 'em, add 'em!)
Blend it up and drink it down! Smile! You just really did your body good!
Recipe smoothie galore: Red Berry Blast
2-3 servings
2 cups fresh organic strawberries! YUM!
1 cup alfalfa sprouts (if green in a smoothie is new to you, add 1 c. packed spinach instead)
1 small organic beet (that's right: beet. Just Beet It!) scrubbed
2 Tblsp. Honey, Agave or stevia.Or 2 pitted dates
3-4 cups good water (add water to taste; like it thin? Add more; Like it thick? Add less!)
Blend it and enjoy.
Smoothie Blueberry!!!
1-2 servings
1 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1 ripe banana
1 cup fresh spinach or 3-4 leaves kale, stem removed
2-3 cups water
optional seeds, flax, hemp, chia, etc.
Blend and enjoy!
A word to the wise: Add your greens! Get them in the moring. You won't spend the rest of your day wondering when you are going to eat your salad! And the blending will break up the cell walls so the green in the greens is more bioavailable. Do it up! Believe me when I say, you can't taste it in a smoothie! And berries make it more purple :)
